The Events section gives you a window-into-the-year to see what we will be up to and perhaps some events/programs you may wish to take part in. Course programs listed below will either be instructed or co-instructed by George Bumann. New programs are added throughout the year.

  June 14th Lecture: "Wolf Howls & Coyote Cries - Eavesdropping on Yellowstone's Wild Conversations." for Ogden Nature Center, Ogden, Utah.
  June 19th - 22nd Dusty Boots & Splattered Paint - Art & the Science in the Backcountry NEW! - Backpacking art course in Yellowstone Park co-instructed with landscape artist Aaron Schuerr from Livingston, MT*. For more information and sign-up, click link.

JULY 2008                                                                                                                                                                       

  July, 5th Yellowstone Butterfly Count - Coordinated by George, this is the 4th Annual Yellowstone Butterfly count. Like the Christmas bird count, species and numbers of individuals will be counted within a count circle of 15 miles in diameter as part of this national effort. The event will again be sponsored by the Yellowstone Association Institute as part of the North American Butterfly Association's (NABA) annual count. For more details check out the NABA site (http://www.naba.org) for more information.
  July 6-28th National Museum of Wildlife Art, George will be the Artist-in-Residence for the month of July at the Museum.
  July 30th - August 1st Sculpting Yellowstone Wildlife - Field Workshop Course*. For more information and sign-up, click link.
